About Our City

Frisco is located in western Collin County and eastern Denton County at 33°08'29"N, 96°48'47"W (33.141263, -96.813120) in Northern Texas (NTX). It is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, and is located approximately 20 miles from both Dallas Love Field and Dallas/Fort Worth International Airports. Frisco has a total of 69 square miles of land within its boundaries. As of February 1, 2017, the city had an estimated population of 161,170. Frisco was the fastest-growing city in the nation from 2000 to 2009.

Frisco is part of the humid subtropical region. On average, it gets 39" of rain per year. On average, there are 230 sunny days per year in the city. The July high is around 96°. The January low is around 33°. The comfort index, which is based on humidity during the hot months, is a 25 out of 100, where higher is more comfortable.
